Carat (weight) measurement unit: metric carat (qt): this refers to the size and weight of the diamond.
Clarity (purity): Nature provides diamonds with its inclusions. The clarity of a diamond is determined by examining these inclusions.
Colour: This is personal criteria when selecting a diamond.
Cut (Size): This is used to classify the shape and quality of the cut. It can be round (Brilliant Cut), square (Baguette Cut) or Pear Cut. The shape is the only distinction of the individual and unmistakable style of a diamond.

Black Diamonds:
The increasing popularity of black diamonds justifies their production using radiation. Diamonds with lower quality and intensive purity are usually irradiated with neutrons. During the process a very dark blue-green colour is produced, which is where the black colour of the diamonds comes from. After that, they can be placed in gold and silver rings.

General information on diamonds:
Diamonds are made of pure carbon and can be differentiated from other precious stones because of their hardness, as they are in tenth position on the Mohs scale of hardness (made up of 10 different minerals). There is no other mineral that resembles a diamond, even the second hardest mineral, corundum (ruby and sapphire hardness 9) is 140 times less hard. The name comes from the Greek word “Adamas” which means “Invincible”. No other gem moves such enormous amounts of money from sales all over the world. In no other stone has so much money been invested to discover new quarries or exploit those already in existence.

Gold and silver ring measurements:
To measure your ring size you will need to use a piece of string or paper and measure the circumference of the inside. Wrap the string or paper round the part of your finger where you want to wear the ring and measure the length. The internal circumference of the ring is equal to the length measured in millimeters.
Another way to find out your measurements for our gold items and silver rings is to measure the internal diameter of one of your own rings and compare it to the measurements given in the table below.
